Generally the laptop works fine, looks good and does the trick if you want to access internet/emails. However if you need this for picture editing or gaming I'd invest a bit more money in another laptop. I've had it for 6 months now, and have had some problems using photoshop and using games (spec's are compatible with laptop).

I bought this a few months ago. For the price it is great. I won't bore you. It has (almost everything you need), it would be good if it had bluetooth compatibility but you can get a usb bluetooth dongle for couple of quid here on Amazon & that's you bluetooth compatible.

The audio? The speakers are... well, not the best but it didn't bother me much.
No bass at all, NONE. The sound is on a par with a radio clock alarm, really thin, no depth, but it is cheap, i got mines for £279.99. if you want to listen to lots of music with it you will need a good pair of headphones to plug in or hook it up to a speaker system. I use headphones if i'm listening to music. With good headphones/earphones the experience is awesome. If you are expecting top end speakers this laptop isn't for you. If sound isn't so important & you don't mind wearing headphones occasionally this is great value as everything else is great. I read a review before i bought it saying the build quality isn't great? Absolute rubbish, it's totally solid & feels the business, it looks fantastic too.

Dear all,

The speed of a processor is the core (heart) of a laptop and it is extremely disappointing that this product was specified wrongly when i bought this laptop. I was very angry but I kept the item as returning and refunding etc is also a big head ache for me. In my opinion this sort of cheating is a very bad marketing strategy.

Beware of cheaters.....

Unfortunately this notebook did not work properly upon set-up,the screen picture was brilliant.As usual the delivery and the return process worked like clockwork.Top marks to Amazon.

Solid design and a good working speed,
if you are not a gamer and wish to watch blu-ray

I wanted a not too expensive but reliable laptop to replace my desk top which finally gave up the ghost and died!

This Samsung fits the bill. Not too expensive, smart to look at with a good crisp keyboard - I'm a touch typist with high speeds and was very dubious about using a laptop keyboard, but this has been great, I can type fast and accurately (I can't blame the keyboard for my mistakes!).

I didn't need a high spec top of the range all singing all dancing laptop with a price tag to match - and this has fitted the bill admirably. So far I can thoroughly recommend it. Great spec for the average user.

I bought an R530 laptop at christmas for my son and he was so happy with it that I went for the R540 for my birthday. Its fast and the screen colour and definition is very good. It seems that we are being taken over by Samsung as most electrical goods in this house are made by them, due to their quality and reliability.

A grand general purpose PC for our home use, good price price for a well presented laptop. Has more than adequate Ram and storage for our modest domestic requirements. I use Toshiba's personally out of the usual user loyalty we sometimes develop, this laptop has everything my own PC has plus the HDMI port. Perhaps the Toshiba feels a tad more robust, but that's about it. For the price asked of this Samsung I have no complaints.

I bought this for a present for a friends children,they are pretty hard up and genuine.You would have thought i had given the kids a million £s,the smiles were enough for me.3 children use this constantly and it really has stood the tests,it still looks good and everything works,ok it is only a pentium processor but all on this laptop has and is working as good as new after a lot of use,it does the job perfectly.
