This review is from: HP Pavilion G7-2276SA 17.3-inch Laptop (Intel Core i3-2370M 2.4GHz Processor, 6GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB SATA 5400RPM HDD, Intel HD Graphics 3000, DVD-RAM, Integrated Webcam, Windows 8) (Personal Computers)
Where to start! This was such a good purchase and I'm so glad I did.
To start I'll have a talk about the performance: I brought this model because it has the AMD-A6 APU in it for the Quad-Core power as well as the graphics performance - I wasn't disappointed. When handling high workloads it powers through them with the aid of the high amounts of RAM. (Don't be put off if you think the clock speed is `low' compared with others) Everything is so quick yet the laptop is silent which really surprised me. It is such an improvement over my old dual-care Intel processor. I have created some videos for my YouTube account on this and it has rendered them very quickly! This comes with a very large hard drive that I can use to store videos, music, films and other large files etc, however I'm all for performance so I swapped this out for a 120GB Intel 520 SSD which is truly mind-blowingly fast. Now this machine starts up in less than 10 seconds and any program no matter how large will load instantly. This new technology is so much better than older hard drives that the PC will never slow down either so I'm future proofed for years to come. The Quad-Core Processor, Exceptional graphics performance, 6GB of RAM and the Solid-State storage mean this thing is a complete rocket!

It's not just an ugly powerhouse either, as you can see from the pictures it does indeed look very sleek with a glossy finish to the machine. Surprisingly though (I've no idea how it's accomplished) it doesn't seem to pick up any fingerprints for me even on the glossy black parts so stays looking smart. I did quite like the sound quality when the laptop arrived however it is hardly ever used so I cannot give a fair reflection, nor about battery life as it is normally plugged in all the time. It comes with an interesting trackpad that I haven't come across before with an option to quickly disable it and individual dots making up the surface which does feel nice to use. It has a full chiclet keyboard with number pad which is very useful. The keys are well made and don't feel like cheap flimsy caps of plastic and actually give a nice feedback when typing. There is also media function buttons placed on the F1-F12 keys and they are very handy. All your standard I/O you'd normally find on a laptop: 3 x USB 2.0 ports, Internet port, VGA + HDMI out, Headphone and Microphone 3.5 jacks, Card Reader, DVD Drive and even a Kensington Lock.

Now I can get onto the bit which most impressed me though. The Screen.
I thought it was stunning. It is so wide that I can actually consider it practical and the properties of it are amazing! 1600 x 900 resolution is just right. It has a big range of brightness's and the glass panel means the colours are so vibrant and vivid. It is a pleasure to see every time you turn on.

Overall a CLEAR 5 Star from me as I couldn't fault this. I'd say snap it up now and have no doubts - you will be impressed.

The service is very fast. Even though I live in The Netherlands, it took only 4 days. Very good service!
I like the product...have to get used to Windows 8 though.
