I have only had this laptop for a few days but i love it already.It looks and feels good.the keyboard is very comfortable to use,and the screen is crisp and sharp. Set up was a very easy and straightforward,automatically searching on line for any new drivers that were needed.For a change,this laptop didn't have too much trial software, and what was there, was easily uninstalled .I wasn't looking forward to windows 7 but now find it so easy to use.
In my opinion this laptop at £519.97 with these specs ( i have the i3 version)is an absolute bargain and would definitely recommend it.
As usual Amazon delivery was fast.

I had been searching for a replacement for my 5 year old 17" Sony Viao laptop for a while when I spotted the specifications for the Lenovo G770 17.3" laptop on another site (not Amazon). The specs almost looked too good to be true: 8GB memory, 2GB video card, intel Core 3 2.2Gz, 750GB HDD. I read all of the reviewss that I could find, did a bit more research and couldn't find anything to touch it for spec and price, especially at Amazon's low price of just £499. I must admit that some of the reviews had me a little worried; occasional setting up problems and reliability issues, but I took the plunge and ordered it. I was really pleasantly surprised when the laptop, which I ordered on a Saturday with standard delivery 3-5 day delivery, was delivered first thing Monday morning - really impressive.The laptop was well packed and so easy to set up. Everything works just fine. Performance is very good though not lightening fast - but then again it is an I-core3, not 5 or 7, so absolutely no complaints - its about what I expected. If you want lightening speed, go for a higher rated processor but this one is fine for my needs: web browsing, film and music downloads and some gaming.
The large 17.3" wide-screen is bright and the sound is good, certainly better than my old Sony.
If you are considering buying one of these, go ahead - I really recommend it over some of the 'bigger' or better known brands, especially at this price. Very, very good value.

I am delighted with this G770 - it's fast, great screen resolution, excellent wi-fi, good battery life, and a very acceptable alternative to 2 previous Sonylaptops. It suits me fine, as a third home based internet access point. Certainly not as portable as a 15" machine, but I bought this for home use only, and I am delighted so far. Lenovo have launched some very interesting new hi-spec machines on the market, but this does all I need. As always - brilliant service from Amazon.
