Amazon Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Samsung NF210 10.1 inch netbook (Intel Atom N550 1.5GHz, 1GB, 250GB, WLAN, Webcam, Up to 10hrs battery life, Windows 7 Starter) - Titanium Silver (Electronics)
It's a nice little netbook. No, it's not a laptop, no it doesn't do DVDs or CDs. It is small, but keyboard & mousepad are v usable. Small enough to perch on the arm of the chair, and watch streamed football while the kids have a video on. Happily runs Office 2007 (though prob not too many things open at once).

DO: buy the 2GB RAM upgrade - I've just got it and it transforms speed in nearly everything it does.
DO NOT: (as Amazon suggests) buy the DDR2 2GB chip which Amazon tells you "is often bought together...". It won't fit! You will need 2GB DDR3 memory chip. If you need to check go to Crucial - it'll even diagnose it for you online.

Overall - highly recommended

Just received this netbook and not really done much with it to date apart from surfing. Compared to my 17" Sony Vaio this little machine is a feather weight, yet the ergonomics are such that its a complete pleasure to use.
I've switched to 'power saver' setting and no idea what specific benefits this yields, but I'm easily getting ten hours use on battery, which is exactly what I wanted. Sound is fine too and is actually on a par with my Sony Vaio which cost three times as much. Not felt the need to upgrade the RAM but I probably will as some live audio streaming seems difficult and I'm assuming (for now) this is a RAM issue. Was considering a Sony netbook as I've found Sony products very reliable over the years, however at the same price point, the spec wasn't comparable to this Samsung.
Set up was easy and (from memory) took about an hour to fully charge the battery and install Samsung & Windows updates. Just about to start a PhD and there was no way I'd want to lug my Vaio around campus, so I'm looking forward at at least three years of use of this litle beauty.
Obviously I'm not a techie, however based on initial impressions, if the spec meets your needs, I'd recommend this netbook without reservation.
*Update* So, I've had this netbook for about a month now and I've no reason to alter any aspect of my original review. If anything, its over spec'd for what I do with it. Only niggle is, I'm wondering if I ought to have gone for an iPad and skipped netbooks, but there are other considerations that make me say that. Best £300 I've spent in a long time!

I recently purchased the Samsung NF210 netbook and added both the Belkin Neoprene Sleeve for Netbooks and the 2GB memory module from the Frequently ordered together list.

Do not make the same mistake I did, the memory listed is DDR2 memory, but the Samsung uses faster DDR3 memory and is therefore incompatible.

If you open the packet, you may find that you will not be able to send it back for a refund.

Just be warned, order DDR3 memory.
