This has been an excellent buy. I was trying to replace my netbook which was irritatingly slow and wasn't quite powerful enough for me. It was great for a few years but I have out grown it and needed a full laptop but still didn't want the weight of a traditional one. Although the macs are appealing for their quality and sophistication, this wouldn't work with my desktop PC ... and so I found this great thinkpad. It helped that it had been so positively reviewed by Computer Shopper and PC Advisor. One of the only downfalls from their perspective that the lower spec 2GB version and this one solved it with 4GB. So far, I am really pleased, it looks great is only just slightly bigger than my old netbook and is so much more fluid to work with. No delays and software functions with ease. So nice! I would definitely recommend to others. I am hoping that this will survive the rest of my doctorate and help crunch all the data while I am on the go.Amazon's express next day delivery was also superb. Arrive the next morning (a Saturday!) for a really really reasonable fee and no worries. Great value.

This is my first Lenovo and I love it!! It's built really well and certainly not flimsy at all (like some cheaper models) - at the same time its lightweight and can be easily carried around in my handbag - which is great. The keypad is really good and easy to use. The Lenovo (like other netbooks) doesn't have a CD/DVD drive so I had to install Microsoft Office (which I already had) by buying an external optical drive. The RAM is really good and you can feel it - coz everything gets done faster. I'm glad I made this purchase and didn't opt for a cheaper brand. 4 of 10 people found the following review helpful

It's a great laptop it's a fabulous keyboard, but sadly it has no DVD, and I need a DVD. Had I looked closely at the spec I would have noticed this. So I returned it to Amazon, and all I had to pay for was the postage, that I thought was more than fair.I will be returning to Amazon, but next time I'll be more careful about the spec, I can't say how grateful I am for this.
