I've had a complete nightmare re-installing windows on another laptop. Through all the hassle that caused me my baby HP Mini 210 has been a rock. It's allowed me toresearch the faults I've had with the other laptop
make posts about them
make bootable USB install media from an iso using a virtual drive
write cds and dvds with an external writer
transfer files from usb, sd card and external usb hard disk
...all on one battery charge. And I still have 2hrs 35 minutes battery left.
All the while it's coped with my normal day to day usage:
browsing
watching videos at 1080p on external tv via the VGA port
watching youtube at 720p on external tv
amazon and shopping sites
playing music with windows media player
writing this review
...with out a single problem or with any noticeable slow down. The keyboard and touchpad are lovely to use, the keyboard especially is not fiddly and rarely ever gives me typos, the hibernate is quick and easy, the screen is excellent, the dual core atom and my upgrade to 2GB RAM make it quick even in windows 7 ultimate and the 3 USB ports, SD card reader and headphone sockets give it more than enough flexibility to cope with almost anything.
Were it not for a need for a slightly bigger screen and mobile gaming power I would happily use it as my only PC and I can't recommend it thoroughly enough.

Purchase the HP Mini 210 as probably the best of the smaller units to try, I havenot been dissappointed, I now prefer it to my my laptop proper, its small, lighter,
screen stays bright and I get 10 hours use without searching for a plug point, I
find it far more useful to em than an i-pad,

Purchased this item on 17/4/12. I also purchased and installed the 2Gb RAM upgrade £9 from Amazon, which literally took 2 minutes to install. This netbook is at the upper end of the quality scale for this type of machine. It has a chunky, solid well made feel to it, very Apple like. It has some nice little design touches such as indicator LED's in the Caps Lock and Wireless on/off keys as well as next to the Web Cam. As I also have an Acer Aspire One with the Atom N450 processor, I can say that the new N2800 1.86mhz processor combined with the 2Gb RAM upgrade provides a noticably faster and smoother experience than the earlier Atom processors. The screen is clear and bright. I have had several programs running concurrently with no problem. For example Internet Explorer, Windows Live Mail and Microsoft Works.Battery life is excellent and class leading as advertised. All in all I am very happy with this purchase, it is good value for money.
