A great little netbook. Having used single-core variants the dual-core processor makes for a much better user experience, especially when coupled with a RAM upgrade (more on this later).

The keyboard is very useable for it's size, and the touchpad is very responsive. The touchpad accepts gesture-based input for operations like zooming and scrolling and whilst it takes a bit of getting used to it does come in handy.

The power supply comes in the form of a 'wall-wart' with a reasonably long cable. Its a universal transformer with detachable pin assembly for different countries, although only the UK assembly is included (it may be possible to purchase different country assemblies elsewhere).A nice feature, whether intentional or not, is that the wall-wart can be plugged into the mains socket with the bulk of the transformer either extending up or down. This means that it should be able to plug it in without fouling anything.

A word on the memory upgrade, it's more involved that normal laptops. You need to remove the keyboard by releasing latches along the top and then remove several screws from beneath where the keyboard was (these are labelled 'Door'). Finally you need to turn the laptop over and prise a plastic door off to gain access to the memory slot. I had to use much more force than feels necessary to do this which is very disconcerting!!! There are YouTube videos available but they aren't particularly clear.

In all I'm very pleased with the netbook and would highly recommend it to others.

This netbook looks and feels great. The keyboard is easy to type on and the touchpad is nice. The hardware is pretty good and should allow for punchy performance (although 2GB would be nicer).

However, Win7 seems to be painfully slow and unstable. Application take a long time to load and even internet browsing makes the laptop's fan scream. It's frozen a few times too, requiring a complete reboot.

Android seems like a good idea, however, it seems like an afterthought that has been retro-fitted last minute. It's ugly and transitioning to Windows feels clunky. The mouse pointer doesn't even work correctly (moved faster vertically that horizontally). Doesn't seem useful in any way.

Installed Ubuntu, which works well and performs nicely.

I have had this Netbook for almost 2 months now and use it daily. I love the small size but decent keyboard. I do touch type and so that was an important consideration for me. The screen is sharp, the Netbook is easily carried around. I find the battery hours are good and, after using for about 4 hours, it tells me it still has a further 3+ hours to run.

I tried the Android OS but unable to use my wireless mouse and unable to use my email client (Thunderbird) so favoured Win7Starter OS. I am happy with this Starter OS and have felt no need to upgrade to Win7, nor craved to customise.

I did find the Netbook rather sluggish, especially on typing emails whereby Tb and MS Word couldn't keep up with my typing speed (and not an issue with my laptop nor PC). Opening Firefox, Thunderbird, Word seem rather slow.

However, having read many reviews stating how an upgrade to 2Gb RAM made a significant difference, I decided to do this. Unfortunatley, even with this upgrade, I've not noticed any improvement and so, on this, I am very disappointed.

I have contacted Acer to query if I'm 'missing something' but the only advice offered was to Restore to Factory Settings. I can understand the benefit of this but having set it all up, downloaded Firefox, Thunderbird, installed MS Office, and a few other applications that I use, I am not happy. If the Netbook has to go back for checking etc, it means I don't have it to use and it is specifically now when I need it so have to decide whether to go through all this or just accept it is a slow machine, although I was never expecting it to be 'whizzy'.

So, although I do love this Netbook, because of the slow performance, I don't know that I would recommend it.
