This is a marvellous upgrade from my old Ergo Ensis 211. It is very quick at turning on and off. Internet connection was set up very quickly. The keyboard is a joy to use and the touchpad very responsive. The screen is a good size at 17.3 inches and although glossy, can still be viewed quite easily in a certain amount of sunlight. The 6GB of RAM and 750GB hard drive are more than enough in terms of storage and therefore highly useful. Given that this laptop has not been out very long at all, I am really impressed so far. The design is stylish and seems to be well-made. Downloading old files from a portable hard disk drive took very little time. Sound quality from the speakers is pretty good. The spec is very impressive, featuring 'AMD Phenom Quad core P960 Processor' a bit like what MACs use, so very nice to have. All in all, this is a great laptop, HP have done a good job here! So glad I bought it. :)

I have been 'playing' with my new laptop for a while now & am very pleased with it. My only gripe would be that I did not have a choice of what pre-installed programs came with it, such as 'Magic Desktop' a program for children, having no children in my family now it is not needed. Such programs should be 'Added options' (But this goes for all new computers). The HP Manual is a printable PDF which I assume is a cost saving exercise by HP. The keyboard has a positive feel to it. Fingerprint recognition is a very useful tool I have set it up so my Wife & I can change user at the wipe of a finger. A definite upgrade from my old desktop running on XP
